Tropan alcaloids are not enough volatile to be inhaled, it's the pollen grains that can be inhaled ...

That's what I figured, that the active tropane alkaloids were not volitile enough to be active simply through inhalation of the fragrance, however., the fragrance is caused by volitile compounds, it just appears these are chemically different from the active tropane alkaloids.
