Dammit, you guys are burning through my bandwidth with the constant updates to the archive!

I love it. I'll get it in place soon.

I've also added a custom search engine to the archive. It's not 100% accurate, as google indexed the old version of the archive, and I'm waiting for the sitemap I submitted to clear out the bad results.

I have not checked this yet (have been too busy lately), but uploaded the avatars I grabbed from entheogen.com myself to http://growlog.com/EdotAvatars.zip to make it possible for you check you have all of them. Please note that I only grabbed avatars of the users who had at least one post. Also, some users have two avatars - a user icon and a signature picture.

Also, thanks to all of you for your hard work! I'm happy Edot won't die :-)

I also downloaded only the avatars of users with at least one post--I'll check them with your archive to see if they are the same.

BTW, I've found a way to integrate the old posts in the new phpBB forum. Instead of using the XML+MOD solution, it is much easier to write directly to the phpBB database, recreating the users/topics/posts structure. Not an easy task but I think I can do it.

So if we are interested in having the old posts integrated, please let me know.

Being able to repost on old topics is vital, IMO.

Many Thanks to CowFodder and everyone who has helped keep this incredibly valuable body of information alive!

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Edot was such a valuable resource, one we cannot lose.

Still no access to http://www.entheogen-network.com/archive/edot I take it. I'm getting the olde 404 Not found. Is it being worked on to get the info back?

It's good to see ya'll again, BTW, it took quite a bit to finally find the new site.

Most likely the old site will be gone. The old owner never renewed and is awol, so it is up for grabs/auction now. There is a small chance someone will pick it up that is associated with Edot, but I have heard the domain name is actually worth a good chunk of change, so bots may grab it for resale/profit.

I have heard all this second hand and this is the first experience I've had with domain name expiration, re-registration, etc... so I may not be 100% accurate.
I'd be happy if it was the last experience I had with this stuff as well. Doesn't appeal to me AT ALL.

Good news is the whole Edot site has been backed up by many. It's nice having your own personal browsable Edot.
There is a link in this thread to the mirrored archive and to where you can d/l your own copy.

A few members are working on the possible integration of all old threads into this site, so you can read and post on your old favorite Edot threads here. This may take some serious leg work by the techies, but it look more now like a true possibility than it did a month ago.
I am currently working on a email list that includes the thousands of members of Edot, to inform them of the move.

We have a good group that stepped up for the community, including Cowfodder who put up his own money and time to get this place moving. Glad you made it man, spread the word if you get a chance.

Drop the "edot" from the end. It got moved to http://www.entheogen-network.com/archive.

BTW, Google seems to have finally processed my sitemap for the archive, so the search engine works properly now.
