I didn't realize how awful this stuff was. I tried Spice when it first came out, about ten years ago. I was the first I knew to find out about it. I had to order it from over seas. Back then, we all thought that it was a natural blend of herbs and extracts. People were trying to reproduce the blend and didn't know why it wasn't producing the same effects. We didn't know it was sprayed with chemicals. When I tried it, it didn't seem very potent at all. I remember thinking cannabis was a lot stronger than it. After I tried it, out of curiosity, I never bought anymore of it, because it was more expensive and less potent than the 'real thing.'
Now, it looks as though they are putting more potent chemicals in these fake blends and selling people a powerful mixture of drugs more addicting than heroin and more damaging than crack. I can't believe that it's still being sold as a marijuana alternative. I've never seen a drug hit someone so hard, so fast and render them completely manic or seriously ill, within seconds. There have been deaths caused with this stuff, and after looking at the videos below, that's really not surprising. This stuff is not synthetic weed. It's some kind of very powerful mixture of dangerous chemicals.
What do you guys think about all of this?
The way that this drug affects people is unbelievable. Some of the videos below are very disturbing. Viewer Discretion is Advised.

Synthetic Weed
Re: Synthetic Weed
I also tried Spice way back in the day...probably about ten years ago. I had the 'Gold' stuff and it was seriously potent...more potent than most mid-range cannabis strains. I smoked a couple bowls of the stuff, ate half a cheese cake, and slept for almost 14 hours. I didn't continue ordering it after that first pouch lmao. I can see why people use these blends when they don't have access to decent Cannabis but you're right, some of these new ones are just outright dangerous. People are spraying their herbs with stupid combinations of research chems. I'm surprised more people haven't been hurt or even died.

i did 2, hey metanoian! You have a great default pic. Can you tell me how 2 upload one????
Re: Synthetic Weed
I think people have been hurt and also died. This is kind of an old story, though. At least now everyone knows that you'd have to be either a prison inmate or a complete retard to try this crap. I think these blends are illegal now.

Re: Synthetic Weed
These blends are centered on cannabinoid receptor agonists, so they are chemicals that Will affect the same receptor sites as THC, while being chemically unique.
The issue is that many of these compounds have very little history of human use and are poorly understood in regards to short and long term health effects.
I'm not willing to dismiss every synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonist out there, though I do agree that the means by which these "spice" compounds spread was incredibly irresponsible, and probably doomed any legitimate use of such compounds.

Re: Synthetic Weed
We already knew that. Another issue was that some of these blends contained more than just synthetic cannabinoids. Some blends have been tested in a laboratory and were found to contain random byproducts and contaminants. I think there was a vice documentary on it. I don't remember.
I also assumed that the pure synthetic cannabinoids were harmless, but you can find people who claim to have had seizures and other harmful reactions from smoking the supposed purified stuff.
You never know what you are getting unless you have access to expensive instruments that can identify the chemical composition.
