self motivation

Post by nepalnt21 » Sun Feb 21, 2016 10:32 pm

how do you motivate yourself to do healthy things, instead of lazy things? i never seem to get the swing of staying active, especially in winter. in spring and summer i go out more often, but i want to do tai chi everyday or yoga everyday, or heck at least a few times a week.

Hmm... I think this is the problem of purpose. I mean for most of time if we have a purpose, or a goal which we absolutely want to achieve then we will try do everything we can, no matter how hard it is to achieve that purpose.
So if I may, I think the better question would be: why do you want to be active? Why do you want to practice tai chi or yoga in the first place? Is there something related to this active matter that makes you want to change?

Fear of High blood pressure and diabetes is the reason that makes me do exercise more often, and follow a strict diet.
