What beer are you drinking right now?

This is the place to discuss wine, mead, beer, spirits, concoctions, techniques, additives, etc.

@ Quantumbrujo

I see your from the city of Montreal

Montreal is a really Nice city !

I was in Montreal a few years back and I must say not only does Canada Have the best Beer aside from Germany in IMO and also Hockey players "which goes without saying", but Saint Catherine street is a very cool area to check out to.

I can't wait to go back sometime, I am fairly close to the boarder but still I dont seem to get the chance to make it there as much as I would like to :disappointed:

As far as for beer I do remember a Hard rock Cafe being in the area and I think there was a microbrew pub or something like that, not quite sure of the name.

I have tried Molson and Labatt's - Both are very good Beers !!

I used to live in Pottsville, PA about 15 years ago and drank DG Yuengling beer all the time That I bought at buck beverage, is this the beer your taking about ?

Also at around the same time I was drinking Lord Chesterfield Ale, very potent and very good stuff !
That is it. It was better years ago before it was everywhere in the northeast. It had more of a microbrew taste then. Still, for inexpensive beer it is very good!

^ I agree you can't beat that original microbrew taste!

A very good microbrew around here is a stout called Black cat - goes down quick and smooth !!

I bet you have tried Haffenreffer Private Stock (it also goes by the name Green Death ) I think it is around 7 % ABV , although it is not a DG Yuengling product it is also popular with those that drink DG Yuengling Beers, at least around here.

This one to me is top of the line for a malt liquor, I am not a big fan of malt liquor but I would drink this one when offered up.

But Yuengling is far more a better quality beer then Haffy's IMO !!

Been a long time since I'be been around here. This thread is still going, well so am I. Tonight I am drinking a pilsner from Short's brewery in Michigan. It is called Potius Road Pilsner and is very tasty. I've been drinking a lot of German beer lately too. I'm especially fond of Hoffbrau Original.

Never a bad beer from Shorts. The food there is amazing too just a hell of a long drive for me to get there. Thank god they distribute.
