Sometimes it isn't necessary to do so much(?

Since it's not all about staying high, in one of the bouts of creativity that mimosa hostilis brings me, I came up with pigmenting a shirt with mhrb powder, which I've been told works excellent as a dye.
Anyway, it was a disaster, I put the shirt in hot water with salt, and I included the powder, and it turns out that it was very little for the large amount of water, however it was a color like cute pink, I'm not dissatisfied.
I would do it again, but I don't recommend it too much, to have a good time and experiment, it's fine.
What do you think?

Turmeric will dye for you. It is the shaolin monk dye.

Most natural dyes need a mordant or "fixative" and perhaps that was part of it coming light? Pretty sure the mordant for that would be alum powder.
You can use a mordant with turmeric, but it is one that doesn't need any.
