Re: If people that understand god are liars...

mmm... I guess most of our perceptions of life are implanted into our heads from external sources. Starting out at a very infantile level, we're just a sack of stuff looking around, touching things, and making noises. There doesn't necessarily have to be a God for life to simply exist. But language...

Re: A Desperate Plea: Acid Reflux

Great tip on the raw food detox.

Turns out I have acid reflux, and when it's bad, it's really not a lot of fun. I'm on omeprazole right now to manage it.

Re: If people that understand god are liars...

I didn't read everything here, but saying you know God or are God is claiming self righteousness. I don't think I ever even said once whether or not God is real; those statements are vain. How can one know God? The box just gets a little bigger each time you try to step out; you can never know it a...

Re: Childhood memories - a possible explanation

While I personally have never recalled memories from my childhood during Salvia adventures (at least not yet), one of my closest friends experienced this. It was actually a shared memory between the two of us and he called me, still under the influence, to tell me about it. I remember my hair standi...

Re: need help identifing plants

PS. happy it was not woodrose - deleriants ain't fun! its better to know that your halucinating that to not know.... Hmm, just wanted to point out that woodrose isn't a deliriant, but a psychedelic, since it contains LSA. Curious to know what plant you were thinking of. . . . Anyways, the vine-y pl...

The Body as a Gateway

There is a phenomenon I've discovered that spans all psychedelics and mystical experiences, and it has to do with the human body. I first became aware of it, consciously, a year ago (though I'd had many intense "out of body" incidents before that) when I sat down to meditate, intoxicated on edit. Ac...

Re: I Know The Secret

Thank you all for this thread, there have been some awesome ideas tossed around by some very intelligent people. 8-) Is there an end in sight? Or are we condemned...and the eternal struggle for truth constitutes our reason to exist. These are the questions... I can't say for certain that there's no ...

Re: Budhism

What Buddhism is about, if you ask me, is basically letting go of everything that is "time-based" in favor of the "now." What culture tends to do is to build up this sense that each of us is this character with a past and a future, and our well-being seems to be based on what's happened or what's ab...

Pleasantly Surprised

I gave up on Edot a long time ago (I used to check and see if it was back up every once in a while), but on a whim I typed "entheogen forum" into Google today and here I am. A lot has changed since the last time I posted. For one, I just graduated from college (this week actually) and this is the fi...
