grow before eat the cactus will reward The most profoundly accurate statement in this entire thread. It has been revealed to me time and time again, that you will get out of a cactus what you put into it. The guilt. I have felt immense guilt from "wounding" my friends. This is until I was made awar...

Whoa! lots of new faces... Been a while since I've been on. Anyway, my cat agrees with the dewman on this one, but prefers a cold prep. I'm in CO too. You can start looking mid to late September with a bit of success, but October is when things start kickin. Didn't weigh them, but last October 20th, I filled two 33 gallon yard bags in 3 hours, just west of the Springs.

Hi Konstrikted, First, SWIM tells me that there's no need to de-spine Pachanoi, or even remove the waxy skin. 4 hours in the freezer is probably unnecessary. SWIM says he doesn't even bother throwing away the core (in fact, he believes using the entire plant is important to the overall experience). ...

I've been told that in lower dosages the stimulant effects of such cacti can be very condusive to long duration, high endurance activities. I asked SOTC ( Some odd tabby cat ) and he felt that it would be very helpful if one was a resident round about sealevel and decided on a hike up at a higher a...
