Hmmm. I know linalool is an nmda antagonist terpene. I've used other EOs where it is a strong component and gotten dissociative effects, but with juniper and cedar it seems stronger and different. I think that is contributing to the effects, though. It could even be that something else in these plan...

Also, if anyone has a good resource for identifying all the terpenes in these plants, I'd be appreciative. It definitely seems that more than one thing is contributing to the effects.
