Was in concord a couple days ago looking for Amanita Muscarias. The closest thing I found were some Destroying Angels :?

I'm in northern Illinois right now, has the season started and has anyone had any luck?

Peace all,

Rife

They usually occur at the time of your first frost, or when the temps drop in fall or winter. Here on the Gulf Coast that is the end of November or the 1st part of December. Further north like Virginia, end of October or the 1st part of November. I watch areas where there are a lot of pine trees. That's out here at FMRC's facility, in the middle of 57,000 acres of pine trees....grin. slp/fmrc

I found tons in the Pikes Peak area. Directly west of Pikes Peak, the area surrounding the Crags campground is loaded.

I believe this calls for a road trip. However sadly I lack the means of which to do it. Insurance, and money.

At any rate I hope I'll be able to catch the season with a nice trek through the mountiants before it's over. If not i'd hate having to wait another year.
