I think my Cactus is ill -

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I posted here

I bought a Peyote cactus about 4 years ago and it has grown very slowly Image

If anyone knows what is causing the browning and how I can fix it please respond :) also if any one has got any tips for the growlight and light cycle i would appreciate it :)

Not sure about the browning, when was the last time you re-potted it ? New soil can;t hurt, no matter what ...

For the lights,16 hours on and 8 hours off should be good. Lights on 24/7 is not good, cactus are the only plants that really need a dark period. Compact Flourescent Lights (CFL's) will do. Make sure the light is as close to the plant as possible without burning it, probably just an inch or two away. Just my limited experience -- Ed.

yep thats how my lophs look when they get to much light...dad moved them this weekend for an irrigation project into full blinding hot sunand a ceas and a jourd have spots or the mthat look just like that. they heal up better than you might think, not 100%, but better than i expected.

one of my lophs has that. it outgrew long ago. so it should be fine.
