You know how sometimes there's a line, verse, or stanza from a poem, song or whatever that just sticks to you for whatever reason? Let's share those. I'll start:

Livin' on the road my friend, was gonna keep you free and clean
And now you wear your skin like iron, and your breath is hard as kerosene ...

-Willie Nelson and Merle haggard
I indulged myself in the various religions and philosophies but cheerfulness kept breaking through
- Leonard Cohen

I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no class ...
- Unknown Poet

And here's another:

My candle burns at both ends;
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends
It gives a lovely light!

- Edna St Vincent Millay

Then some lines from the movie Papillon----when they ask Dagga if he would blame Pappy if he tuned him in------I couldn't blame him---blame is only for God and small children and some others from that movie I can't recall right now!

Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in."

Nice one.

be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
bought and sold
and bought again
the dove is never free.

"Nurse Sue Ann Duckett was a tall, spare, mature, straight-backed woman with a prominent, well-rounded ass, small breasts and angular ascetic New England features that came equally close to being very lovely and very plain. Her skin was white and pink, her eyes small, her nose and chin slender and sharp. She was able, prompt, strict and intelligent. She welcomed responsibility and kept her head in every crisis. She was adult and self-reliant, and there was nothing she needed from anyone. Yossarian took pity and decided to help her."
