Suggestions for bringing new (and quality) content / traffic

Post by ADeeperSilence » Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:36 pm

Any suggestions for promoting this fine forum across the internet?

Not sure if this foal has the legs for more traffic, but maybe we can get some people, quality people, to help out there as well? I really want to see this forum become a robust place for mature discussion and fun chitter chatter in the honor of entheo-gems. ;) What are some things we can do to help this site out?

Is there a way to 'like' this site on other social forums, such as FB and the like?

Maybe just create and start contributing good content ourselves?
I really want this place to be as swingin and fun as the old E-Dot was.

All suggestions welcome!
A few off the top of my head:

~ Would be nice to be able to 'like' or upvote choice posts from others.
~ We could use more smilies, is it okay to use smilies from other sites, dedicated to this purpose?

This site, for instance, serves no purpose but to host smilies:

How about an onion thread where users can post picks growing onions?

I read Terence Mckenna's book finally, and honestly, it just reads like a bunch of ramblings and vaguely told stories. I thought it was going to be a little bit better. I don't know. Does anyone feel the same way? His so-called "scientific theories" are kind of like nonsense ramblings. His supposed psychic abilities and things are, I guess, interesting, if you can believe it, but nothing very profound seems to come from it. It's a story. There's nothing scientific about it. I'm not sure why he thought it was scientific.

I agree, but not sure how that applies to this thread. *hahah*
