It's been 13 years now... really much less of a big deal than people think it is to cut out meat, especially if you don't totally exclude dairy, which is the route I've taken up to this point.

I was raised as a vegan for the first 6 years of my life. Vegitarian until I was about 16 or so when I started to eat a little meat here and there. Just went back to being vegitarian (still eat some, but very little, dairy) at the beginning of January

I picked no, but I still eat meat... only rarely. I don't refuse if someone offers it to me, and stuff like that.

try this:

Take venison tenderloin and cut into small chunks. Soak them in Dale's for about 20 minutes. Wrap each chunk in bacon, poke em with a toothpick and grill em up.

Superb!

Wife cooks vegan,
when we go out I don't hesitate to order bacon blue cheese burger, ribs or veal Italiano, from a menu.
But I said no at home.

Sure... but the thing is, a lot of steaks on market are crappy. The way most of the plants treat their cows is crappy. People forget how to respect their food, and what a good (or decent) steak is like.

A lot of people also like it well-done... so, what's the point? Those are the same people who would go sick on the real thing, or other gamey meat like lamb, or mutton. They gorge themselves on crappy stuff, or McDonald's hamburgers, etc. They eat garbage.
