Re: Greetings and Salutations

This is the only place I feel I can post this without sounding like I'm advertising, which is not what I mean to do; it's just a topic relevant thing that I'm doing. I am posting my personal herbal, unedited, on my website. I am adding to it progressively, and as I learn more and have more to add. U...

Re: Helleborus niger

Maybe not especially useful for my purposes, but still very interesting. Thank you. I cannot find anyone who claims to have actually used it for its psychoactive effects. At least there should be someone who says "Yeah I tried it, it sucked, don't bother." Looks like I'm gonna have to become that so...

Re: Greetings and Salutations

Peace I have more of than most, and for that I am grateful. Health I have more of than some, but less than most, but it means more that I am able to cope and nothing slows me down. Enlightenment I have sought all my life, and I found a little. Learning will never stop, and if it does, I will conside...

Re: witches ointment?

Sadly in my case it's information gleaned one thought at a time from hundreds of sources. The author Tom Brown Jr. had some interesting thoughts on shamanism, but he also had some really bizarre ones, and his experience is limited to only the teachings of a single native american tribe. Worth lookin...

Re: witches ointment?

Hey Alice! I was just saying that there is maybe too much emphasis on tropane ointments, and that witches used a lot of differents plants, and mind altering teks. That there may be precise reasons why ointments were recorded and not the others... In that case, I am entirely in agreement. When I spe...

Re: witches ointment?

Well, I can't claim to know, no one can. But I can apply logical deduction and come to some interesting conclusions. First, shamanic practices of some form existed in Asia, Russia, Europe, Africa, The Mediterranean, and the Americas dating back to long before the historical/archeological community a...

Re: The Dream Thread

Feel like I may be getting abducted in my sleep anyone else feel this way? It's amazing how many intelligent, grounded, well educated people feel that way. It's never happened to me, but personally I wouldn't want to be the alien abducting someone like me... I've met quite a few people who talk abo...

Re: Scary thought

Hell fluoride is more dangerous than Divinorum, and we don't get a choice about the fact that they put the stuff in the water. Did you know that fluoride only strengthens teeth when applied directly to the tooth? Consumed, it actually causes dental fluorosis, skeletal fluorosis, and a form of brain ...

Re: witches ointment?

Well said Dr. Zzz. I would contest the idea of traditional witchcraft though. There isn't one. We have reconstructionists, and there's the neo-pagan scene. The closest to "traditional" is family traditions, which are at best partial traditions, and rarely shared with outsiders. Any time I meet anyon...
