Re: Blacklight Salvia -

Man the entire second page of this thread was offtopic :P Not to revive a several year old thread but when the situation become possible I will definitely try this with my next batch of cuttings. Though I totally get the sense this is bullshit. Can't hurt, Plus I plan on getting a black light eventu...

Re: "fake weed gas station style" -

Screw that crap man. I know from plenty of personal experience that the junk they spray on those leafy greens is less than ideal. 95% purity, sounds great until you relize 5% is chemical by products they used to make the chemical. Research chemicals are just that, your a research rat. You could be c...

Re: This plant is my lifeblood, and I've hurt it so much -

No pictures but a large change. Because of some changing conditions with those who would take away my plant and lock me up, I have given the mother and the cutting away to my mother. She has it growing communally in a room with some other plants of hers and the mother seems to enjoy it a lot. The tr...

Re: This plant is my lifeblood, and I've hurt it so much -

So yeah it's been a while since I've posted, but I'd rather just make one larger post than a single small one. I did the foliar spray like you suggested Jupe, and I also decided to raise the main light up about 3 inches. The plant looks like she really appreciates it, the new growth looks like it's ...

Re: This plant is my lifeblood, and I've hurt it so much -

It's cooled down a lot. In fact, I have long past and closed the windows in my room now that it is so cold. Of course, the heater will not be run im the winter Except enough to keep our pipes from freezing(Lowest thermostat setting is 50) so I will probably get a cheap little heater to place in my r...

Re: This plant is my lifeblood, and I've hurt it so much -

The cutting seems to have survived the leaf end rotting(as it should) and stopped the rot at the main stem. Woke up this morning and I accidently left the cap off the cutting all night so it dried on the inside of the bottle, looks a little more droppy but at least the bottle won't develop mold now ...

Re: This plant is my lifeblood, and I've hurt it so much -

Still no pictures, but I never stay on my word :P Just need a digital camera and I could do it, but I don't. Anyways, the mother is doing fine, some new growth. The rot is still slowly extending, from my last post it is still only half way to the next node. A leaf is touching it from the small branc...

Re: This plant is my lifeblood, and I've hurt it so much -

Pinched a couple of the branches on my mother plant yesterday, and made a cutting off one of the side branches. It was only 4 nodes long and it's rather shallowly in the soil. I have a 3 liter Faygo bottle (Whoop Whoop) over the cutting as a humidity dome. I spray the inside 2-5 times a day (Sometim...

Re: acclimating salvia -

Daniel Siebert from sagewisdom.org I have no idea if he is a member here, but he sells already rooted plants for 45 dollars plus shipping. One of the few people to propagate from seeds, I had mine sent to Texas and it was just sitting on a counter (with bad bad light) with a bag over it for 3 days b...

Re: acclimating salvia -

Try seeing if you can find a place to ship an already well-rooted plant(and maybe partially adapted). I recieved mine from Siebert and it could handle open air immediatly(Just bi-daily misting, eventually turned to nothing) Because it sounds to me like the high humidity enviroment is what is causing...
