Re: Genetically altered us -

Well if their intentions are noble, it would be great! I have thought about this to some extent... I believe there is almost zero chance that a civilization could survive long enough to develop interstellar travel and not be "noble." If a planet was fighting amongst itself, it would nuke or otherwi...

Re: Religions and "energy" -

That's a lot to read, were you referring to the opening paragraphs, or anything in specific? I noticed a few lines like, "The true initiate-alchemist must not fall back into being one of the multitude of Sleepers." This one is particularly difficult to follow. When the path becomes thin or troubled,...

Re: Jesus -

Is it any more ridiculous to believe that aliens visited us and acted as spiritual leaders, teaching us how to build and live productively, than to believe that God is some supernatural being who is all loving and forgiving, lives in the sky (where would extra-terrestrials have to come from?) and i...

It has to do with experimentation, particularly experiments that have hard facts, and are repeatable...

Re: Jesus -

Why is it so difficult for an open minded person to believe that a sea could be parted? Because we have this thing called science... we understand physics, laws of nature, etc. In biblical times, everything was "an act of God"... things like earthquakes, hurricanes, eclipses, all God. Nowadays we u...

Re: Jesus -

Here's a question. Did Moses use alien technology to part the sea? It's a fairy tale, it never happened... 9 cubits = 15 feet! "That's a huge beyotch". Funny, I thought people back then were supposed to be shorter, not taller... How did you connect Satan to Saturn? I thought Lucifer was Venus, the ...

Re: What chaps your ass about religions? -

I agree completely...

I feel sad for this lady. She will believe anything another "Christian" tells her as if it's an indisputable fact. But, if I show her verse after verse from her own bible to back up a point, she won't believe anything I say because I'm not a "Christian"...

Re: Jesus -

...the Torah is presumed to have originated around 15th and 14th century BC which means that there is absolutely no way Jews borrowed names from the Greeks or the Romans. Just because a nation didn't go by that name at this time doesn't mean the religious beliefs weren't already in use by the peopl...

Re: Jesus -

What language does Zeus=Jove? I see the relation to the God of the old testament. They both liked to 'smite evil-doers'... And, the names in the bible are very much like the difference between Jove and Jehovah. The Jews don't actually use vowels, so Jehovah would be JHVH (or YHVH, I think the Y is p...
